A Play about a Bronx Yankee fan growing up along with his beloved Yankees from the 1970s forward
It was a scorching June summer evening, with the majestic sun setting off the distant Pacific Ocean. A single, late-model White Ford Bronco slowly travels down the asphalt surface of the California Freeway, followed by dozens of police vehicles. Thousands of people cheer and hang banners from overpasses, and across the country, a nation is transfixed to their televisions watching the spectacle unfold. And in an apartment in the Bronx, a middle-aged man also sits glued to his TV. He rises up in disgust and exclaims: "I can't believe the Yankees are losing to the Brewers!" Did the whole world pass by that fan that night, or did the rest of us miss out on the joys and frustrations that the fan experienced through his fervent and crazed passion for his beloved New York Yankees? This is a tale of one fan's family, faith, and friendship intertwined with his devotion of the Bronx Bombers, starting in the 1970s forward.
